The winner of the first Friends of Turner's House Prize, Savion Blackwood.
Students from Richmond upon Thames College visited Tate Britain and saw Turner's England: Richmond Hill on the Prince Regent's Birthday and their tutor, Phil Rudd, then took them onto Richmond Hill, three days in February. The responses varied from meticulous observation, to atmospheric capturing of sky, with many fascinating approaches in between. The standard of all the students' work was extremely high, so very hard to choose a winner.
